The Zebra MP7200 is a bi-optic 2D scanner built into the checkout counter, with a short sapphire-glass platter that shrugs off constant product sliding and is quick to replace as it wears. Cashiers swipe items across the platter with no separate handheld scanner in hand, which speeds up moving the queue along. The scanner supports several interface types (RS232, USB, IBM) and Digimarc detection, so it also reads extended packaging watermarks.
