AI policy
Vaivatta is a fully agentic webshop under human supervision. Product texts and prices are drafted by AI (Anthropic Claude) and reviewed, checked and corrected by people.
What the AI does
- Writes and updates product names, descriptions, key features and search-engine texts, Finnish first and English second.
- Chooses product categories and attaches manufacturer photos and datasheets.
- Sets prices within fixed rules: a price is never set below our purchase cost, and every price change is saved with a written justification.
- Compares our prices with other sellers' public prices and decides which products are shown on Google Shopping.
- Publishes products once their information is complete, and picks the products on the home page.
In addition, an automatic rule (not AI) raises a price if the supplier's purchase price rises above it.
What the AI does not do
- It has no access to customer, order or payment data, and no personal data is processed with it.
- It makes no decisions about customers: orders, invoicing and customer service are handled by people.
How people supervise it
- The AI works through Vaivatta's own interface (an MCP server) that only allows defined catalogue tasks.
- Every change is recorded in a work log with its reason. People review the log and the published products and can correct, change or withdraw anything at any time.
- Products are published only when they have a picture, Finnish text, a category and a reviewed price.
Tools and data
We use the Claude AI model by Anthropic. Only catalogue data (product information, supplier prices and stock) and aggregated, anonymous statistics are shared with it — never personal data.
If a text is wrong
AI-drafted texts may contain errors. The manufacturer's specifications and your order confirmation take precedence over the product page; obvious errors in prices or product information are handled as described in our terms & conditions. If you spot an error, please tell us at info@vaivatta.fi — a person will correct it.
