Check this before buying labels
Label size is not the only thing. The core (the hole in the middle of the roll) and the outer diameter decide whether the roll fits the printer. The Zebra ZD421 takes rolls of at most 127 mm diameter. Large industrial rolls on a 76 mm core do not fit it, even when the label size is right.
In your shipping service settings, choose a 10 × 15 cm (4 × 6") label if it is offered, and print straight to the printer.

Does a direct thermal printer need a ribbon?
No. A direct thermal printer darkens the heat-sensitive label directly. That is fine for shipping labels, which do not need to last for years.
Which label size suits shipping?
A common shipping label size is 102 × 152 mm, or 4 × 6 inches. Check which sizes your shipping service offers in its settings.
Why don't all 102 × 152 mm label rolls fit?
The core and outer diameter decide it. The Zebra ZD421 takes rolls up to 127 mm in diameter. Larger rolls on a 76 mm core are meant for industrial printers.
How many labels are in a pack?
A Zebra Z-Perform 1000D roll has 475 labels and a pack has 4 rolls, 1,900 labels in total.
