Epson TM-U220IIB — the kitchen printer that shrugs off grease and heat
A thermal printer is the wrong tool in a kitchen: thermal paper darkens next to the grill and fades in steam. The TM-U220IIB is an impact printer — it strikes ink onto plain paper that tolerates heat, and prints in two colours so modifiers and allergies stand out in red. This RS232 serial version is the drop-in spare for older POS installations where the kitchen printer has always lived on the serial port.
