Citizen CT-S851III — the fastest machine on the counter, and the paper comes out the front

At lunch the queue does not stall on the payment, it stalls waiting for the receipt. The CT-S851III prints at 500 mm per second, roughly three times a standard till printer: the receipt is in the customer's hand before the card terminal has finished thanking them. Across hundreds of sales a day that is minutes back every hour.

Front exit gives you somewhere to put it

Paper leaves the front rather than the top, so the printer can be recessed into cabinetry, tucked under a shelf, or mounted with only the receipt slot showing. That frees counter space, and nobody has to reach over the machine to collect paper.

Four paper widths and a big roll

It accepts 58, 60, 80 and 82.5 mm paper and rolls up to 83 mm in diameter. In practice that means fewer roll changes at the busiest point and the option of using the paper you already stock.

A good fit for

Lunch restaurants, cafés and shops where the rush hour is genuinely a rush, and for till points built into furniture. Also right when receipts are long enough that print time starts showing up in the queue.
