Citizen CL-S521II — the address label is ready before the box is taped

When outgoing parcels wait for labels, the bottleneck is not the post office, it is the packing bench. The CL-S521II prints a 104 mm label at 150 mm per second, so an ordinary address label is out in under a second. At dozens of parcels a day the difference against handwriting, or against an A4 printer and a pair of scissors, is an hour or two a week.

Roll changes standing up

The case opens upward and the roll drops in without tools or threading. That matters more than it sounds: the packing bench is always busiest at the moment the labels run out.

It speaks the language your software already knows

The printer understands EPL II, ZPL II and Datamax command sets. In practice, if your webshop, warehouse or carrier software was built for a Zebra or Datamax printer, this machine drops into its place without software changes.

Specifications

Before you order: the interface cable is ordered separately. Direct thermal prints without a ribbon, but the label fades over time in heat and sunlight — if the label has to last years or survive a freezer store, choose the ribbon-capable CL-S621II.

A good fit for

Webshop packing benches, small warehouses and shops that send parcels daily. Also good for shelf labels and picking. Not a fit if the label has to survive abrasion or chemicals, or if you need small text rendered precisely — the CL-S621II (thermal transfer) or CL-S631II (300 dpi) is the right call there.
