## Description

The 1P3FP-USB-SERIAL adds an RS232 serial port (DB9 male) to a computer's USB-A port. The one-metre cable reaches under the counter or behind the till without an extra extension.

### Serial devices without a serial port

Most current computers no longer have a serial port, yet many tills still use RS232 printers, scanners and scales. This cable gives the computer a serial port through its USB-A connector.

### Supports common serial settings

The Prolific PL2303GT chipset supports up to 921.6 kbps with a 512-byte FIFO buffer. Flow control can be set to RTS/CTS, DSR/DTR or XON/XOFF, and the DB9 end has screw locks. The manufacturer lists Windows, macOS and Linux as compatible.
