Brontie – Coffee Gifting App MVP

Brontie came to Sina with an early-stage idea for an online coffee gifting startup. The original concept relied on stitching together multiple external tools, which would have made the MVP fragile, slow to iterate, and hard to maintain. Instead of executing the brief as given, we reframed the problem: which of these tools actually need to exist, which can be absorbed into the core script, and which can be replaced with cleaner alternatives? This system-level clarity step was delivered before any code was written. We then built and shipped a fully working MVP in five days, with the founder kept in the loop throughout — clear status updates, transparent decisions on trade-offs, and visibility into how each obstacle was being solved. Outcome: a working product the founder could put in front of real users immediately, a simpler architecture than originally planned, and a continued working relationship for the next phase.
