The Zebra ZT231 is a midrange thermal transfer label printer designed to handle the demands of daily heavy use in retail back offices, stockrooms, and repair workshops. When labels need to come out fast and the printer cannot be the reason the work stops, this is the machine that keeps things moving.

Print speed that keeps up with busy days

At up to 305 mm per second, a label is ready before the next one is queued. With a maximum media width of 114 mm and a print width of 104 mm, the ZT231 covers virtually every common label size you are likely to use. The maximum roll diameter of 203 mm means you are not stopping to swap rolls every hour, even on your busiest Friday.

Peeler means one less thing to do by hand

The built-in peeler separates each label from its backing automatically — no peeling, no fumbling, no slowing down when you are tagging dozens of items in a row. The liner take-up spindle collects the backing neatly so your counter stays clear. In practice, this makes a noticeable difference the moment your daily label volume goes above a handful.

Connects to what you already have

The ZT231 comes with USB, USB Host, RS232, Ethernet, and Bluetooth Low Energy as standard. It connects to most point-of-sale systems, ERP platforms, and mobile devices without adapters or workarounds. The LCD display shows status at a glance — you can see immediately whether the printer is ready or needs attention, without guessing.

The printer speaks EPL, ZPL, and ZPLII — the label programming languages used by the vast majority of label design software on the market. If you already have a labelling application, there is a good chance it works with this printer straight out of the box.

Enough memory for repeat jobs

With 256 MB RAM and 256 MB Flash, the ZT231 stores label templates and fonts locally. Repeat jobs print faster, and the printer does not depend on a live network connection every time you hit print.
