Direct thermal printing means no ink and no ribbon. The print head transfers directly onto heat-sensitive media, so there are fewer consumables to track and less reason to think about routine maintenance. Print speed reaches up to 127 mm/s, which holds up well even during a busy warehouse shift or a full day on the shop floor.

The LCD display shows device status at a glance — battery level, connection, and print queue are all visible without guesswork. Black Mark and Gap sensors detect the media type automatically, so swapping a label roll takes seconds and requires no manual adjustments.

Works with wider media too

Maximum print width is 104 mm and media width goes up to 113 mm, so the ZQ521 handles broader labels and tags without any workaround. Roll diameter fits up to 57 mm, which matches the standard label rolls used in most field environments.

Battery that lasts a full shift

The included 3,250 mAh battery is built to run through an entire working shift without a recharge. When it does run low, the battery swaps out quickly — no waiting around, no interruption to customer-facing work.
