Because it uses direct thermal printing, there's no ink cartridge and no ribbon to replace. Fewer consumables means less time spent on upkeep and fewer mid-day interruptions.

At a maximum print speed of 152 mm/s, labels come out in seconds — fast enough that customers at the counter don't wait while you sort a ticket. Resolution at 203 dpi (8 dots/mm) covers barcodes, price labels, and text markings cleanly.
Connects to whatever setup you already have
The ZD421d supports USB, USB Host, Bluetooth 5.3, and Wi-Fi 802.11ax. You can connect it directly to a till, a tablet, or your office network — whichever way your current setup runs. The USB Host port also lets you plug in an external barcode scanner or other peripheral straight into the printer itself.
Real-time clock and sensors that handle label rolls without fussing
The built-in real-time clock (RTC) adds a timestamp to your prints without any extra software. Black Mark and Gap sensors detect different label materials automatically, so swapping a roll doesn't mean stopping to adjust settings.
