The Zebra ZD421 is a compact desktop label printer built to handle the demands of a working day without complaint. Whether you're printing price labels in a shop, food-safe tags in a café kitchen, or job sheets in a workshop — it gets on with it, no ink cartridges or ribbons required.

Prints fast enough that no one waits

At up to 152 mm per second, labels are ready before the queue builds. Resolution is 203 dpi (8 dots/mm), which prints clean barcodes, address labels, and price tags without smudging or fading. Maximum print width is 104 mm and maximum media width is 108 mm, so the standard label rolls you already stock will fit straight in.

Connects the way your setup works

The ZD421 comes with USB, USB Host, and Bluetooth Low Energy. Plug it into a till or computer via USB, or run it wirelessly from a tablet or phone over Bluetooth — whichever matches how your counter is set up. The USB Host port also lets you connect a barcode scanner directly to the printer, keeping cables off the counter.

Real-time clock stamps the label for you

The built-in real-time clock (RTC) writes the current date and time directly onto each label if your software supports it. Useful for food labelling, dispatch tracking, or any situation where a timestamp matters and you'd rather not type it by hand.

Finds the next label automatically

Black Mark Sensor and Gap Sensor detect label gaps and black marks on the roll without you adjusting anything. When you swap rolls mid-shift, the printer calibrates itself — no settings to change, no misprints to peel off.
