The Zebra ZD421 is a direct thermal desktop label printer built to handle daily heavy use. Whether you're printing price tags in a retail shop, shipping labels for online orders, or parts labels for a workshop shelf — this printer gets it done quickly and without extra fuss.

Keeps up when things get busy

At 152 mm/s, a label is ready before a customer has time to wait. The 203 dpi (8 dots/mm) resolution handles barcodes, QR codes, and plain text cleanly — labels scan first time, every time.

A maximum media width of 108 mm and print width of 104 mm cover the label sizes you'll actually use. With a maximum roll diameter of 127 mm, you won't run out of media at the worst possible moment.

All the connections you need, out of the box

The ZD421 comes with USB, USB Host, Bluetooth (BLE), and Ethernet already built in. That means it connects to your till, tablet, or computer without any extra purchases. Pairing with a mobile device over Bluetooth BLE takes seconds.

The built-in real-time clock (RTC) keeps timestamps accurate automatically — useful whenever you're printing date labels for food or perishable stock.

Sensors that read the media for you

The Black Mark Sensor and Gap Sensor detect automatically where one label ends and the next begins. You don't need to adjust the printer when you switch to a different label stock — it adapts on its own.
