About
Zebra ZD421 – Label printing without the cable clutter
The Zebra ZD421 is a desktop label printer built for daily business use. Whether you run a café, a retail shop or a repair workshop, it handles price tags, food labels, order stickers and address labels quickly and legibly — keeping pace with you even when the day gets hectic.
Connects to what you already have
The ZD421 comes with USB, USB Host, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 6 on board, so it fits alongside most point-of-sale systems and workstations without needing an extra adapter. Wi-Fi 6 keeps the connection stable even in busier wireless environments — useful if your shop floor or kitchen is already crowded with devices. The USB Host port lets you plug in a barcode scanner or other peripheral directly into the printer itself.
Sharp prints, ready before the queue builds
Resolution is 203 dpi (8 dots/mm) and maximum print width is 104 mm. Print speed reaches 152 mm/s, so the label is done before your customer has time to wait at the counter. The printer accepts media rolls up to 108 mm wide and 127 mm in diameter, meaning larger rolls fit without fuss.
Real-time clock for date-stamped labels
The built-in real-time clock (RTC) stamps the correct date and time on every label automatically — exactly what you need for food labelling where the date must be visible. Black Mark and Gap sensors recognise different label materials reliably, so switching between stocks does not slow you down.
Enough memory to work independently
With 256 MB RAM and 512 MB Flash, the ZD421 stores your label templates and fonts directly on the printer. That means it can keep printing even without a constant connection to a computer — handy when your back-office machine is busy or switched off.
What's in the box
Every unit ships with a USB cable, power supply unit and power cable with both EU and UK plugs. The printer is grey and manufactured in China. Zebra backs it with a 36-month warranty, so you are covered for three years from the day you plug it in.
