Zebra ZD421 — labels at the counter and in the stockroom, without the cable mess

The Zebra ZD421 is a compact desktop label printer built for daily use in shops, cafés, and workshops. It uses thermal transfer printing, so the result stays sharp even in a damp stockroom or a sun-facing display window.

Connects however your counter is set up

The ZD421 connects to your till or computer via USB cable, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi (802.11ac). There's also a USB Host port, so you can plug in a barcode scanner or USB drive directly into the printer itself. You won't need to rearrange your power sockets or network cables — the printer works with whatever you already have at the counter.

Sharp and fast enough for a busy moment

At 203 dpi (8 dots/mm), barcodes, price tags, and shipping labels come out clearly readable every time. The maximum speed is 152 mm/s, so labels keep up even when the queue doesn't. Maximum media width is 112 mm and print width is 104 mm, covering the label sizes most small businesses use day to day.

Real-time clock keeps your timestamps accurate

The built-in real-time clock (RTC) stamps the date and time directly on the printer — no dependency on whether your till software is in sync. Handy for food-date labels, goods-received stickers, or any label where the timestamp needs to be right.

Recognises different label types automatically

Black Mark Sensor and Gap Sensor detect the label type in the roll automatically. Swap in a new roll and the printer calibrates itself — no fiddling with settings every time the roll changes.
