About
Zebra ZD421 – a label printer that keeps pace with your working day
The Zebra ZD421 is a compact desktop label printer built for the kind of daily workload that would wear out a less capable machine. Whether you're labelling products in a café, tagging garments in a retail shop, or printing job sheets in a workshop, it handles the job without fuss. Thermal-transfer printing means your labels stay sharp and readable even in damp or demanding conditions — no faded barcodes before the product reaches the shelf.
Connects the way your setup already works
The ZD421 comes with USB, USB Host, Bluetooth (BLE), and Ethernet built in. You can run it wirelessly from a tablet, over your existing network, or straight from a USB cable — whichever fits how your till or back-office system is already connected. The USB Host port also lets you plug a barcode scanner directly into the printer itself, keeping your counter tidy.
Clear prints, steady pace
At 203 dpi (8 dots/mm) resolution and a maximum print width of 104 mm, text stays legible and barcodes scan first time. A top speed of 152 mm/s means even a Friday afternoon rush won't leave customers waiting. Rolls up to 127 mm in diameter fit without an adaptor, so you're not stopping to swap media every hour.
Time-stamped labels straight from the printer
The built-in real-time clock (RTC) lets you print date and time stamps directly — no extra hardware needed. Practical for best-before labels on food items, goods-in records, or any situation where the exact time matters and you don't want to add it by hand.
Automatic label sensing, fewer mistakes
Black Mark Sensor and Gap Sensor detect your label material and alignment automatically. Labels come out correctly positioned every time, so you're not stopping a print run to fix a misaligned sheet or restarting jobs because the media shifted.
Everything included to get started
