Honeywell Xenon OCR Software Licence
If you already use a Honeywell Xenon 1900 or 1902 barcode scanner, this software licence extends what your device can do — adding optical text recognition without any additional hardware purchase.
What does the licence actually do?
Out of the box, your Xenon scanner reads barcodes and QR codes. With the OCR licence activated, that same device can also recognise ordinary printed text: the MRZ line on a passport or ID card, a vehicle registration plate, or a serial number printed directly on product packaging. In practice, this means one device can handle more of your daily data-entry needs instead of requiring a separate reader for each task.
Who is this for?
This licence is designed for businesses that already own a Xenon 1900 or 1902 scanner and want to extend its use to text recognition. Typical situations include:
- Click-and-collect or service counters where a customer's identity or vehicle needs to be logged quickly into your system
- Warehouse and stockroom environments where serial numbers or other text-format identifiers are currently entered by hand — and you want to cut that manual work down
- Retail settings where supplier packaging carries text-format codes alongside the barcode
