About
RAM Mounts Power-Grip XL — Scanner Holder Built for Daily Use
If your scanner regularly ends up behind the counter, under a pile of packaging, or just missing when you need it most, the RAM Mounts Power-Grip XL solves the problem simply: it gives the scanner a fixed home and keeps it there through a full day of use.
Designed for larger industrial scanners, this composite cradle suits warehouses, logistics operations, retail shops, and workshops where the scanner is in someone's hand — or should be — for hours at a time.
Scan Without Removing the Scanner
The open-bottom design means you can scan a barcode directly from the cradle. No lifting the unit out, scanning, putting it back. For anyone moving along a shelf run or processing a stack of incoming stock, that small saving adds up quickly over a shift.
Replaceable Elastomeric Fins
The scanner is held by its handle using flexible elastomeric fins that conform to the shape of the grip. They hold firmly without rattling, and when they eventually wear down, you can swap them out without any special tools. Replacing the fins is faster than ordering a new cradle.
Quick In, Quick Out
The scanner drops in and comes out in a single motion. There is no fiddly latch or release mechanism to slow you down when the queue at the counter is three deep.
Mounting Compatibility
The back of the cradle carries a four-hole AMPS pattern for attaching a round ball base — the standard mounting interface across the RAM Mounts system. The underside is also prepared for a rectangular 2" × 3" plate if your setup calls for a flat-surface mount. Neither base plate is included in the box, but both are available separately. Mounting screws are included.
Built to Last
The cradle is made from composite material that handles the knocks and repetition of a working environment. It is not a consumer-grade accessory — it is the same hardware used in warehouse and logistics deployments where downtime for a broken holder is not acceptable.
Right for Small Businesses Too
The engineering is industrial, but the use case fits any small retail shop or repair workshop where a barcode scanner is used every day. A fixed, predictable location for the scanner means less time hunting for it and fewer moments where a customer is waiting while you look.
