About
RAM Mounts Form-Fit Key-Locking Holder for Zebra ET40/45 8"
If your Zebra ET40 or ET45 tablet moves between staff or stays unattended at a counter, workshop bench, or stockroom shelf, this RAM Mounts Form-Fit holder keeps it exactly where you put it. Designed specifically for the 8" ET40 and ET45 with a Rugged Boot case, the holder locks with a key — the tablet does not come loose accidentally, and it does not walk off with a passing colleague.
Charges while docked
Power comes in through a 5.5 mm DC connection, so the tablet charges continuously while it sits in the holder. You get two USB Type-A ports built into the holder itself, which means a barcode scanner, a card reader, or any other USB peripheral can connect directly — no extra hub, no dangling adapters on the desk.
Scan without undocking
The back of the holder has a purpose-cut opening that keeps the Zebra tablet's scan window clear. Staff can read barcodes normally while the device stays locked in the dock. In a busy stockroom or at a retail counter, that means one less step on every single transaction.
Buttons and ports stay reachable
The holder is machined with precise cut-outs aligned to the tablet's buttons and ports. You do not need to remove the device to adjust volume, press the power button, or plug in a cable. The tablet behaves the same docked as it does in hand.
Accessories fit inside
Tablet accessories such as PowerPack additional batteries can be stored inside the holder body — useful when a spare battery needs to be close at hand without cluttering the workspace.
Ready for your existing mount
The back of the holder is prepared for a VESA 75×75 mm plate or a RAM round ball base. Neither is included, but if you already have a RAM arm or a VESA mount on a wall, a pole, or a vehicle, this holder fits straight onto it. No adapter plate needed.
Inserting and removing the tablet
Place the bottom of the tablet into the cradle and press upward until it clicks into position. Removal requires the key. That two-step process is exactly what you want in a shared-device environment — quick to dock, deliberate to remove.
36-month warranty
RAM Mounts backs this holder with a 36-month warranty. For a piece of hardware that sits in daily use in a demanding environment, that covers a full product cycle without worrying about build quality.
