RAM Mounts GDS Holder for Zebra TC73/78 — secure mounting and charging in one

This RAM Mounts GDS holder is built for Zebra TC73 and TC78 devices running an IntelliSkin protective sleeve. If your team uses these scanners on the shop floor, in a stockroom, or at a workshop bench, this cradle gives the device a fixed home between uses — charged, ready, and out of the way.

Charges through USB-C while the device sits in the dock

The cradle has a built-in USB-C connection that charges the Zebra automatically when docked. No separate charging cable to manage, no device arriving at the start of the next shift with a flat battery. Pull it out, it works.

Spring-loaded mechanism keeps the device in place

To dock the device, pull the upper part of the cradle upward, seat the device, and release. The spring-loaded design clamps it firmly — secure enough to stay put during the kind of movement you get in a busy stockroom or vehicle mount. To remove, the same motion releases it cleanly.

Top scanner and buttons stay accessible

The cradle leaves the top scanner and all side buttons exposed. Staff can scan barcodes or trigger functions without removing the device from the mount. That means fewer interruptions when the device needs to stay docked but the job still needs scanning.

Fits both standard and extended battery packs

The back of the holder accommodates both the standard and extended Zebra battery pack, with room for the Zebra hand strap. You do not need to reconfigure the device just to use this cradle.

Ready to extend into a RAM Mounts system

The back of the holder is prepared for a diamond ball base connection (not included). That means it can integrate with RAM Mounts arms, vehicle mounts, and other fixtures from the same system when you are ready to expand the installation.

Compatibility — check before ordering

This holder works only with the IntelliSkin protective sleeve for the Zebra TC73 or TC78. If your devices are running a different case, this cradle will not fit. Check your current sleeve before ordering, or get in touch with Vaivatta and we will confirm compatibility for you.
