About
RAM Mounts Screw Clamp — a fixed home for your mobile terminal
When a card reader or barcode scanner sits loose on the counter, it slides out of reach the moment a customer is waiting. The RAM Mounts Screw Clamp fixes that: a simple screw mechanism locks onto your counter edge, shelf, or vehicle structure and holds the device in the same spot, day after day.
What it does in practice
The clamp tightens onto surfaces up to 76.2 mm wide — which covers most counter edges in a café, retail checkout, or workshop. Once it's on, it doesn't shift. The 25 mm B-Ball socket is the standard RAM Mounts connection point, so it pairs with the full range of RAM arms, holders, and cradles. If you already have RAM kit elsewhere in your business, this clamp plugs straight into what you've got — no extra adapters.
Build and origin
Made in China under RAM Mounts' own quality control. The materials handle the day-to-day reality of a busy café or shop floor: moisture, repeated wiping, and the kind of casual knock that would send an unclipped device across the counter. Installation needs no special tools — the screw mechanism tightens by hand or with a standard spanner.
Who this is for
Designed specifically for mounting mobile payment terminals and barcode scanners:
- Cafés and restaurants — keep the terminal at exactly the right spot on the counter so customers don't have to wait while you find it
- Retail checkouts — works on narrow or awkward counter edges that other mounts don't fit
- Auto workshops and service bays — move the terminal between workstations without losing your mounting point
- Delivery vehicles and collection points — stays put on the road as well as on the counter
The RAM ecosystem advantage
This clamp is one piece of a larger system. RAM Mounts arms, cradles, and phone holders all share the same B-Ball standard, so adding this clamp to an existing setup means you can redirect a device to a new location without buying a whole new mount. Swap the head, not the hardware.
