About

RAM Mounts Mounting Kit for Mobile Terminals

This RAM Mounts kit is designed to hold a mobile terminal firmly in place — in a delivery vehicle, a warehouse picking station, or a workshop counter. Everything you need comes in one box, matched and ready to fit together. No hunting down compatible parts separately.

What's in the kit

  • 1" B-Ball socket arm — RAM Mounts' standard ball-and-socket joint. You can adjust the angle of your device after installation without dismantling anything: loosen, tilt to the right position, tighten.
  • 2 × round base plates (AMPS hole pattern) — the AMPS standard is widely used in vehicle mounting points. These plates bolt straight into existing holes on most fleet vehicles and purpose-built mounting surfaces.
  • Long link arm — adds the reach you need when the mounting point is further away from where the screen actually needs to be. Useful when you're fixing to the rear of a dashboard but want the terminal visible from the driver's seat.

Why a fixed mount saves time

A terminal that slides around, tips over, or ends up buried under paperwork costs real time every day. When the device is always in the same spot at the right angle, your driver or warehouse picker reaches for it without thinking — and uses it one-handed. The small interruptions add up; a proper mount removes them.

RAM Mounts builds for mechanical durability. Components are made from glass-filled nylon and aluminium, built to handle daily vibration, temperature swings, and the kind of repetitive handling that wears cheaper hardware out within months. Country of origin: China.

Particularly well suited to

  • Delivery vehicles where the driver scans or logs data on the move
  • Retail and warehouse picking stations where the terminal needs to stay in one defined spot throughout the shift
  • Workshops and trade counters where a handheld terminal moves between points but always returns to the same mount

Installation

No specialist tools needed. Bolt the AMPS base plates into existing fixing holes or onto a suitable surface, connect the long arm through the ball joint, and lock the device into its holder. To adjust the viewing angle: loosen the ball, tilt the terminal to the position you want, tighten. The whole process takes a few minutes.
