The Datalogic PM9100 is a cordless 1D barcode scanner built to handle the daily demands of shops, cafés and workshops. It runs on a 433 MHz radio frequency, so the cable no longer ties you to the counter — you can scan at the till, in the stockroom or at the pickup shelf without a lead getting in the way.

Reads barcodes reliably even when conditions aren't ideal

The PM9100 uses a linear imager paired with Datalogic's Green Spot confirmation light, which projects a visible dot directly onto the scanned surface so you can see at a glance whether the read landed in the right place. In practice, even faded or awkwardly positioned barcodes go through on the first attempt — no queue building up at the counter while someone wrestles with a stubborn label.

Connects straight to the till you already have

The scanner supports RS232, KBW and USB interfaces. A USB cable (Type A, straight, 2 m) is included in the box, so you can plug it into most POS computers without ordering anything extra. If your till uses a serial port or keyboard-wedge connection, the same unit handles that too.

IP65 rating handles splashes and dust

IP65 means the scanner tolerates liquids splashing from the counter and the flour or sawdust that comes with café and workshop environments. A quick wipe is all the cleaning it needs — no need to pack it away somewhere safe before rinsing down the workspace.

Removable battery keeps work moving

The battery is removable, so keeping a spare on charge is straightforward. When the battery runs low in the middle of a busy lunch rush or evening service, you swap it out in seconds and carry on. The charging cradle doubles as the radio transmitter, so you don't need to find a separate spot for a base station.
