Evolis Primacy 2 – Plastic Card Printer for Business Use

The Evolis Primacy 2 is a professional plastic card printer built for businesses that want to produce staff ID cards, membership cards, or loyalty cards in-house — without sending jobs to an outside print supplier. When you print on site, cards are ready when you need them, with no waiting on orders or minimum batch sizes.

Both sides printed in a single pass

The Primacy 2 handles dual-sided printing in one run, so the front and back of each card come out finished together. That matters when you are running a batch of 50 cards for new staff — you are not doubling your time manually flipping cards. In single-sided mode the printer also supports rewriteable cards, which is useful if your cards carry information that changes regularly, such as shift schedules or visitor passes.

Sharp logos, clear photos, readable small text

The printer uses dye-sublimation thermal transfer at 300 dpi. In practice, that means your company logo reproduces cleanly, staff photos look professional, and fine print stays legible. The four-colour ribbon (YMCK) produces rich, consistent colour — the kind of result you would be happy handing to a customer or wearing on a lanyard.

Fast enough for a full team in one sitting

At up to 170 cards per hour, a 50-person staff batch is done in roughly 20 minutes. The input hopper holds up to 100 cards at once, so small to mid-sized runs go through without you standing over the machine constantly refilling it.

Ready to connect in an office or back-of-house environment

The Primacy 2 connects via USB or Ethernet. The Ethernet connection lets you share the printer across multiple computers on the same network without an extra print server or hub. A USB cable, power supply, and power cable are all included in the box, so you can get started without extra purchases.
