About
Evolis Primacy 2 – Dual-sided card printer for everyday business use
The Evolis Primacy 2 is a professional plastic card printer that prints both sides of a card in one pass. Whether you need staff ID badges for new hires, membership cards for customers, or access passes for your premises, you can produce them in-house — no print shop, no waiting for a delivery.
Print quality and speed that keep up with demand
The Primacy 2 uses thermal transfer (dye sublimation), which gives you consistent, durable results every time. At 300 dpi (12 dots per millimetre), logos, portrait photos, and small text all come out sharp and legible. The maximum speed is 170 cards per hour, so even a modest batch is done before it becomes a distraction.
The 100-card input cassette means you load a stack, press print, and get on with your day. LED indicators show the printer's status at a glance — no guessing whether a job is running or stuck.
Connectivity that fits how your office is set up
The Primacy 2 connects via USB or Ethernet — both are included in the box. Plug it into your office network and share it across workstations, or connect it directly to one computer at a single desk. Either way, there are no extra cables or adapters to source before you can start.
The printer supports both 4-colour (YMCK) and monochrome printing, so you can match the print mode to how your cards are designed.
Everything in the box to get started
The kit ships ready to use. Included: USB cable, power supply unit, power cable, ID-All card design software, and a cleaning kit to keep the printer running smoothly. You won't need to order consumables or accessories separately before printing your first card.
Warranty and origin
Manufactured in France, with a 36-month warranty. Three years of cover means you can put the printer to work and not revisit the purchase decision for a long time.
Is the Primacy 2 the right fit?
This printer suits businesses that print small to medium card runs on their own schedule — staff badges when someone joins, loyalty cards for a new season, access passes when a key holder changes. If outsourcing card printing to a supplier feels like one task too many, the Primacy 2 brings that job back in-house.
