About

Datalogic PowerScan 9600 RFID – one scanner for the jobs that don't stop

The Datalogic PowerScan 9600 RFID combines 2D barcode scanning and UHF RFID reading (865–868 MHz) in a single handheld device. In practice, that means one scanner for standard barcodes and RFID tags — no need to pick up a second device depending on what you're scanning.

Built for conditions that aren't always clean or dry

The PowerScan 9600 RFID carries IP65 and IP67 ratings, meaning it handles dust, dirt, and water jets without complaint. If it gets knocked off a shelf or spends a shift in a damp goods-in area, work carries on. The scanner is built for industrial and logistics environments where it is in someone's hand for hours at a time — not the kind of device that needs to be treated carefully to keep working.

Bluetooth — no cable limiting your reach

The connection to your point-of-sale system or ERP runs over Bluetooth, so staff can move freely without a cable getting in the way. The included charging and transmitter cradle keeps the scanner topped up during breaks and doubles as a base station. The battery is removable and swappable — if you keep a spare charged, the scanner never has to stop just because the battery is low.

At 3,350 mAh, the battery is sized for a full shift on a single charge.

Everything needed to get started is in the box

The kit includes a USB cable, power supply unit, EU power lead, and the charging/transmitter cradle. There is nothing extra to order before you can start using it.

For wired fallback, the scanner supports multi-interface connectivity via RS232 and USB, so it fits into existing setups without forcing infrastructure changes.

16 quantity keys that speed up stocktaking and picking

Sixteen dedicated quantity keys let staff enter item counts directly on the scanner — no separate keyboard needed. That removes a step from every inventory count and picking round, which adds up quickly over a full day. The scanner also supports document capture, extending its usefulness beyond standard stock scanning.
