About
Newland N7 Cachalot Pro II – a handheld that keeps up with your working day
The Newland N7 Cachalot Pro II is an Android handheld built for daily professional use. It reads barcodes quickly and reliably whether you're scanning a label right in front of you or reaching up to a high shelf. When orders need picking in the warehouse or stock needs counting on the shop floor, this terminal stays in your hand and gets the job done without making you wait.
Reads barcodes even when conditions aren't ideal
The 2D imaging scanner with Near & Far capability picks up a code from close range or from a distance — wherever the label happens to be. White illumination means scanning works in a dim warehouse, not just under bright shop lights. The 13-megapixel camera doubles as a document and receipt imager when you're working out in the field.
Connected wherever the work takes you
4G LTE keeps data moving when there's no fixed network nearby. Wi-Fi (802.11ac) covers the office or warehouse floor. Bluetooth connects peripherals, NFC speeds up short-range reads, and GPS tells you where you are. A USB-C cable is included for transferring data to a computer at the end of the day.
Battery that lasts the full shift
The 5,100 mAh battery gets through a full working shift without a mid-day top-up. With 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage there's plenty of room for your apps and data logs, and the Micro SD slot lets you expand storage if you ever need more. IP65 protection means dust and water splashes won't stop work — the terminal keeps going even if conditions don't stay clean.
4-inch display and 38 physical keys
The 10.5 cm (4-inch) touchscreen runs at 480×800 pixels and stays readable in bright daylight. The 38-key physical keypad lets you enter quantities without touching the on-screen keyboard — useful when your hands are gloved or dirty from a day in the workshop or stockroom.
Android 11 with Google Mobile Services
Android 11 with full Google Mobile Services means the apps you already use — inventory management, ordering systems, messaging — install straight from the Play Store. There's no specialist setup required; if your team can use a smartphone, they can use this terminal from day one.
