The Zebra MP7200 is a countertop 2D presentation scanner built for fast, repeated scanning at the point of sale. Reads the difficult ones too

At the heart of the MP7200 is a 2D imager read head protected by a sapphire glass lens. Sapphire resists scratches far better than ordinary glass, so the reading surface stays clear after months of daily use — no film of fine scratches slowing it down over time. The scanner recognises standard 1D barcodes, QR codes, and Data Matrix codes, whether they're printed on packaging or displayed on a customer's phone screen.

Digimarc support means the scanner can read invisible Digimarc barcodes embedded directly into product packaging. In practice, this reduces the moments where a cashier has to rotate a pack looking for the printed barcode — the scanner finds the code even when the label is partially hidden or at an awkward angle.

Connects to the till you already have

The MP7200 supports USB (Type A), RS232 (two ports), and a multi-interface mode covering RS232, USB, and IBM connections. There is also a display port for connecting a customer-facing screen directly to the scanner. Between these options, the scanner will work with most existing till setups without adapters or extra hardware.

The short platter keeps the unit's footprint compact — it sits on the counter without taking over the workspace.
