Datalogic Magellan 1500i — Presentation Scanner for Daily Checkout Work

The Magellan 1500i is Datalogic's presentation scanner designed for retail checkouts. It reads all common 1D and 2D barcodes — including from a customer's phone screen — and keeps up when the queue is moving fast and products are coming through quickly.

Accurate reads without careful aiming

The Green Spot targeting light shows both the cashier and the customer exactly which point the scanner has registered. In practice, this cuts down on the moments where an item has to be handed back for a second attempt or a customer is left waiting at the counter. The targeting mode also helps separate the right barcode when a package carries several codes close together.

All the connections you need, in one kit

The kit includes an RS232 cable, EU power supply, and a tilt-adjustable stand — so the scanner is ready to go straight out of the box. It supports RS232, USB, and IBM interfaces, which means it fits most existing checkout systems without any additional purchases. The USB Type A connection works directly with modern checkout PCs.

Built for the shop floor

IP52 protection means the unit handles dust and the occasional splash — a coffee spill on the counter won't put it out of action. The black finish sits neutrally in almost any checkout environment.
