The Magellan 1500i is a fixed presentation scanner built by Datalogic for retail checkouts. It reads both 1D and 2D barcodes — including codes displayed on a customer's phone screen — without asking anyone to twist a product into exactly the right angle. The queue moves, the checkout flows.

Green Spot and Targeting Mode — Instant Read Confirmation

Datalogic's Green Spot technology projects a green dot directly onto the barcode the moment a successful read is made. Your staff and your customers both know immediately that the scan went through — no second-guessing, no rescanning the same item twice. The targeting mode helps aim the scanner quickly even under bright shop lighting or when a product is sitting at an awkward angle on the counter.

Multi-Interface — Works With What You Already Have

The Magellan 1500i supports USB (Type A), RS232, and IBM interfaces. Whether you are running a current cloud-based POS or an older till that predates USB, there is a connection that fits. The USB cable is included in the box, so you are not hunting for a cable before you can start.

IP52 Protection — Built for the Counter

IP52 means the scanner handles dust and splashes without complaint. Counters get wet, flour drifts, drinks get knocked over. The Magellan 1500i is designed for exactly that kind of working environment and does not require careful handling to stay in service.
