Datalogic Magellan 900i – Presentation Scanner for Retail Checkouts

The Magellan 900i is Datalogic's countertop 2D barcode scanner designed for daily, heavy-duty use at retail tills, kiosks, and other customer-facing service points. It reads both 1D and 2D barcodes — including codes displayed on a customer's phone screen — without your cashier ever having to lift a handheld scanner.

Green Spot Targeting Keeps the Queue Moving

The Green Spot targeting mode projects a visible green dot showing exactly where the scanner is focused. In practice, this means your cashier — or the customer — can see at a glance whether the code is in the right position before the trigger is pulled. Fewer failed reads, faster checkout, shorter queues.

Connects to the Till You Already Have

The Magellan 900i supports USB (keyboard emulation), RS232, and IBM interfaces, so it fits the majority of POS set-ups without extra adaptors. The kit ships with a 1-metre USB cable and a Kiosk-Mount bracket that keeps the scanner stable and correctly angled on your counter.

Built to Handle What a Checkout Throws at It

IP52 protection means the scanner handles dust and the occasional splash of coffee or water — the sort of thing that happens at a busy till whether you plan for it or not. The low-profile black housing sits neatly alongside most shop fittings without drawing attention to itself.
