The Magellan 900i is a counter-top barcode scanner built for shops and restaurants where the till is running non-stop. It reads 2D barcodes — including QR codes and DataMatrix — as well as standard 1D barcodes. Because the scanner reads from multiple angles at once, customers don't need to rotate or align a product. You place the item in front of the scanner and it does the rest.

The Green Spot feature projects a small green light onto the barcode at the moment of a successful read. The Magellan 900i supports three interface types — USB (keyboard-mode), RS232, and IBM serial port — so it slots into most existing POS setups without extra adapters or configuration work. The box includes a 2 m USB cable and a magnetic mounting stand. Once the stand is attached to the counter, the scanner stays put; it won't slide or tip over during a rush. You choose the interface once during installation, and from that point the scanner simply works.
