The Magellan 3510HSi is Datalogic's counter-inset scanner designed for the kind of daily, unrelenting use you get at a busy café till or retail checkout. It reads both traditional 1D barcodes and modern 2D formats — QR codes, DataMatrix — so it handles physical price tags and digital loyalty-app codes without missing a beat.
Works with the POS you already have
The scanner uses a multi-interface design: RS232, USB (Type A), and IBM are all supported out of the box. In practice, that means it connects to most POS systems on the market without an extra adapter. USB is the most common choice for newer setups; RS232 and IBM keep older systems covered. A mounting frame for counter installation is included in the box. Interface cable, power supply unit, and power cable are ordered separately — so you only pay for what your specific setup actually needs.
Built to take the rush
The scanning window is tin oxide glass — a harder-wearing material that resists the knocks and scratches that come with a busy counter environment. The IP52 rating means the unit handles dust and the occasional splash without complaint, which matters when coffee cups and plates are moving past the till all day.
A Micro SD card slot is available if your POS software or application can make use of extra on-device storage.
36-month warranty
Datalogic backs the 3510HSi with a 36-month warranty, so the investment is protected well beyond the first year. The unit is manufactured in Slovakia.
