Reads every code your products carry

The 9550i uses 2D imager technology, which means it handles:

• ·Standard 1D barcodes (EAN, UPC, Code 128, and others)
• ·QR codes and DataMatrix codes

If you're accepting mobile loyalty cards, digital receipts, or stocking products with newer label formats, the scanner keeps up without any extra configuration. You won't hit a wall when a supplier switches code formats or a customer pulls up a voucher on their phone.

Connects to what you already have

The 9550i ships with two connection options:

• ·USB (Type A, 2×) — plug straight into a modern POS terminal
• ·Multi-interface (RS232) — works with older serial-based systems too

This matters if you're running checkout hardware that's a few years old. You don't have to replace a working POS just to get an in-counter scanner running.

Sits flush with the counter surface

The Flip-Up design means the scanner face sits level with your countertop — the Shelf Mount installation drops it into the counter opening so nothing sticks up or gets knocked around. The medium platter size fits the standard counter cutout found in most retail and café checkout furniture. The checkout line looks clean, and your staff have full workspace on either side.
