Star mPOP – Cash Drawer and Receipt Printer in One

If your counter is already crowded with devices, the Star mPOP solves the problem neatly: cash drawer and receipt printer are built into a single unit. One device, one plug, and suddenly there's room to breathe at the till again.

The mPOP is a particularly good fit for cafés, retail shops, and small restaurants where the point of sale is built around a tablet or iPad. The included tablet holder attaches directly on top of the unit with double-sided tape, so your POS system, printer, and cash drawer come together as one tidy setup — no cable jungle spreading across the counter.

Receipts Print Without Making Customers Wait

The direct thermal printer runs at 100 mm per second — fast enough to keep things moving even when there's a queue at the counter. The printer takes media up to 58 mm wide and roll diameters up to 50 mm, so a standard receipt roll fits without any adjustment.

The cash drawer opens from the front, which means it fits comfortably on a narrow counter too. The insert accommodates four bill slots, six or eight coin compartments, and one cheque slot — a practical layout for everyday cash handling.

Connects to Tablets, Computers, and Other Devices

The Star mPOP has three USB-A ports, one USB-C port for iOS devices, one USB-B port, and Bluetooth 5.0. In practice, this means the unit works both wired — with a computer or payment terminal — and wirelessly with an iPad or Android tablet, without needing extra adapters or add-on purchases.

The USB ports also let you connect additional peripherals such as a payment terminal or barcode scanner directly through the mPOP, so fewer cables run back to the wall.

What's in the Box

The mPOP ships with an EU and UK power cable, a USB cable (USB-A to USB-B, white), and a double-sided tablet holder. Dimensions are 308 × 100 × 300 mm (W×H×D), colour is white, and the manufacturer's warranty runs for 24 months. The unit is manufactured in China.
