The Star TSP847II-24 is a direct thermal receipt printer designed to handle the demands of a busy counter, day in and day out. When the queue builds up on a Friday evening, receipts come out fast — your customers don't stand waiting.

How it works

Direct thermal technology means no ink cartridges and no ribbon replacements. The print head applies heat directly to the paper, so the only consumable you ever need to order is the roll itself. At 203 dpi (8 dots/mm), receipts are sharp and easy to read — no blurry text, no customer squinting at the total.

Print speed tops out at 150 mm/s, which is fast enough that the printer keeps up even during your busiest service window.

Interface and power supply

The interface and power supply unit are ordered separately. That means you pick the combination that matches how your till is already set up — USB, Ethernet, or another interface — without paying for connections you won't use. The printer works with most point-of-sale systems that support the ESC/POS protocol, which covers the large majority of till software used by small businesses in Finland.
