Speed and resolution that match the workload

At 203 dpi (8 dots/mm), print quality is sharp enough for barcodes, shipping labels, and product tags — everything reads cleanly at the scanner. Print speed reaches 254 mm/s, so even a large batch clears quickly and your packing bench does not have to wait for the printer to catch up.

Maximum print width is 216 mm and media width is 224 mm, which means the 220Xi4 handles wider label stock that simply won't fit in an office-grade device.

Two print methods, one machine

The 220Xi4 runs both thermal transfer (with ribbon) and direct thermal (without ribbon). That flexibility lets you choose the right media for the job — durable outdoor labels that survive moisture and handling, or standard indoor labels for everyday stock and admin work — without buying a second printer.

Connectivity that works with what you already have

The multi-interface card covers RS232 serial, USB, and a parallel port. Whatever computer or point-of-sale system you are running, the 220Xi4 connects without an adapter hunt. The printer speaks ZPLII, the industry-standard label language, so compatibility with existing label software is straightforward from day one.

Real-time clock for traceability

The built-in real-time clock (RTC) stamps a time and date on every print job automatically. If you work in food retail and need best-before timestamps, or you want to know exactly when a delivery batch was labelled, the RTC handles that without any extra configuration on your end.
