Honeywell 1962g — cordless scanning without the battery hassle

The Honeywell 1962g is a cordless 2D barcode scanner that does away with traditional battery maintenance entirely. It charges via Qi wireless charging right in its cradle — just set it down between uses and it's ready for the next customer. No batteries to swap, no charging cables to wrestle with.

Built for the counter, the shop floor, and the workshop

This scanner is designed for daily hard use. Its IP52 rating means it handles everyday dust and the odd splash of counter water without any extra protection. Whether it's sitting at a café till, outside a fitting room in a clothing shop, or on the desk at a bike workshop, it keeps going without any special care.

The included charging and transmitter cradle keeps the scanner topped up and maintains the wireless connection to your point-of-sale system. The cradle also doubles as a presentation scanner — it can read codes placed in front of it without anyone picking up the scanner. Handy for loyalty cards or customer-facing QR codes at checkout.

Works with the connection your till already has

The multi-interface design means the same scanner runs on RS232, KBW, or USB — whichever your current POS setup requires. A 2.7 m USB cable is included in the box, giving you comfortable reach across a checkout counter. When you upgrade your POS down the line, you most likely won't need a new scanner, just the right cable.

Reads everything your checkout sees

The standard-range 2D imager handles the distances typical at a retail or hospitality counter accurately. Barcodes, QR codes, and 2D matrix codes all scan cleanly — including codes displayed on a customer's phone screen.
