Datalogic GM4500 – Wireless 2D Barcode Scanner for Daily Use

The Datalogic GM4500 is a cordless handheld 2D imaging scanner built to handle the daily demands of a retail counter, café checkout, or workshop floor. It connects to its receiver over 433 MHz, giving you a stable wireless link even when you're moving between the till and the shelves.

Green Spot and 3GL — you always know the scan went through

The GM4500 uses Datalogic's Green Spot technology: after a successful scan, the reader projects a small green dot directly onto the barcode. In a noisy environment where a beep disappears into the background, that visual confirmation is the kind of detail that keeps the queue moving. The 3GL (Three Green Lights) indicator adds three LED status lights visible from the side — useful when the scanner is pressed against a product and you can't see the screen directly.

Wireless freedom, no cable clutter

Without a cable tethering you to the counter, you can move freely between the till, the back shelf, or the stockroom without stretching or unplugging anything. The included 3,250 mAh battery is sized for a full working day without an interruption for charging. The charging and transmitter cradle is ordered separately — contact Vaivatta if you need help choosing the right one for your setup.

IP52 protection handles spills and dust

The IP52 rating means the GM4500 shrugs off light dust and small splashes. In practice: a coffee splash at the counter or flour dust in a bakery won't put the scanner out of action, so you're not hunting for a replacement mid-shift.
