The Datalogic GM4500 is a cordless handheld barcode scanner built to handle the daily wear and tear of retail counters, café tills, and workshop floors. It connects over 433 MHz wireless, so your staff can move freely around the counter without wrestling with cables.

Reads correctly the first time

The GM4500 uses a 2D imaging engine that reads both standard 1D barcodes and 2D formats such as QR codes and Data Matrix codes — the kind increasingly found on loyalty cards, packaging, and delivery labels. Green Spot feedback projects a green light directly onto the scanned code, so the person at the till knows instantly whether the scan went through. No second-guessing, no re-scanning the same item twice.

3GL technology extends the read range and ensures codes register correctly even when a label is slightly worn, creased, or the item is moving. In a busy queue, that means fewer hold-ups and a faster line.

Built for daily use behind the counter

IP52 protection means the scanner handles dust and light splashes without issue — the conditions you'd expect behind a café counter or in a stockroom. The included 3,250 mAh battery is sized for a full shift without needing a mid-day charge.

What's in the box and what to order separately

The scanner ships with the battery included. The interface cable and the charging/transmitter cradle are ordered separately, so you only pay for the setup your till station actually needs.
