The Elo I-Series 5 Steel is designed for the kind of environment where the till is open from morning to close and hands are not always dry or clean. The steel-body construction holds up behind a café counter, in a restaurant, or on a retail floor without you having to worry about every splash — the enclosure is rated IP54 against dust and water, and the touchscreen surface is rated IP65.

A display that keeps up when it's busy

The 15.6" Full HD panel (1920 × 1080 pixels) stays sharp even under bright overhead lighting — brightness is 215 cd/m² and the viewing angle is 170° in both directions. Projected Capacitive touch recognises ten contact points simultaneously, and the 25 ms response time means every tap registers immediately even during a Friday-evening rush.

One cable to the counter

Power over Ethernet carries both data and power along a single cable. In practice that means you can place the terminal exactly where you need it on the counter without hunting for a spare socket — one lead to the network switch and you are up and running.

Android 14 with Google Mobile Services, ready to go

The device runs Android 14 with Google Mobile Services certification, so familiar apps are available straight from the Play Store. The Qualcomm Snapdragon QCS6490 processor and 8 GB of RAM keep the system responsive even when several apps are running in the background. There is 64 GB of onboard storage.
