This Elo Edge Connect Fingerprint Scanner is built to attach directly to your Elo display via the Edge Connect port. The result is a tidy, compact checkout point — no USB cables snaking across the counter, no extra adapters taking up space.

Compatible displays

The scanner works with the following Elo display models:

• ·1004L
• ·1304L
• ·1504L

If you already have one of these displays, adding the scanner is straightforward: it clicks into the side connector, and you need neither a separate power supply nor any installation tools.

Why fingerprint login at the till?

In cafés, restaurants, and retail shops, staff come and go — and sharing passwords or PIN codes between employees is a real security risk. A forgotten PIN during the Friday evening rush can bring the queue to a standstill. Fingerprint login solves both problems at once: each staff member signs in with their own finger in under a second, and no shared codes are needed.

In practice this means shift handovers move faster, and every login is recorded clearly in the system — you always know who was signed in and when.

Installation

The connection runs via USB through the Edge Connect interface, so the display recognises the device automatically. Because the cable runs inside the display housing, the counter surface stays clean. The physical mount is solid — the scanner won't shift during use.

Warranty

The scanner comes with a 36-month warranty. If it develops a fault within three years of purchase, Vaivatta will help you through the warranty process — just get in touch and we'll sort it out together.
