The Zebra DS9308 is built for daily, heavy-duty use at retail checkouts and service counters. Set it beside your till and it reads barcodes automatically as customers pass products or phones in front of it — no button to press, no aiming required.

Reads Codes Reliably — First Time, Every Time

The DS9308 uses a 2D imager that recognises traditional 1D barcodes, QR codes, matrix codes, and codes displayed on mobile screens. The reading distance is 0–27.9 cm, so customers can hold a product or phone loosely in front of the scanner without needing to line it up precisely. Transactions move faster because neither you nor the customer is fumbling to get a read.

The IP52 protection rating means the scanner handles the everyday dust and occasional liquid splashes a busy counter throws at it — it keeps working through the morning coffee rush and the Friday afternoon queue.

Plugs In and Works Straight Away

The kit includes a 2-metre straight USB cable. Connect the DS9308 to your POS computer or till system and in most cases it is recognised immediately, with no separate driver installation needed. If your POS requires a different connection, the DS9308 also supports RS232, KBW, and RS485 interfaces — so it fits into a wide range of existing setups.
