The Zebra DS4678 is a cordless handheld scanner that reads virtually every code type you'll encounter: standard 1D and 2D barcodes, OCR text, and DPM codes (Direct Part Marking) — codes etched or stamped directly into metal or plastic surfaces. If your business scans components, equipment, or products where the code is part of the surface rather than a label, this scanner picks them up reliably.

No cable to manage during the working day

Bluetooth BLE (class 5.2) keeps the scanner connected to your till or computer wirelessly. The included charging and transmitter cradle sits on the counter or shelf, and the scanner drops back in between scans — the battery stays topped up without you having to think about it. The cradle doubles as the Bluetooth transmitter, so you won't need a separate dongle in most setups.

Swap the battery and carry on

The 2500 mAh battery is removable. Keep a spare charged and you can swap mid-shift in seconds: slide out the empty, click in the fresh one, and continue without interruption. No waiting for a recharge, no workflow stoppage.
