Zebra DS2278 — wireless 2D barcode scanner for retail

The Zebra DS2278 is built for the kind of daily punishment a busy shop dishes out. The Bluetooth connection means no cable trailing across the counter — you pick up the scanner, read the barcode, and the data goes straight to your till. Whether you're ringing up a customer or checking stock on the shelf, the scanner follows you rather than the other way round.

Handles the everyday hazards

IP52 protection means the DS2278 shrugs off dust and the occasional splash. A knocked-over coffee cup won't end your morning. It won't survive a dunk in the sink, but it is noticeably tougher than consumer-grade kit and well suited to a counter that sees real traffic.

The 2D imager reads all standard 1D barcodes, QR codes, and other 2D formats — including codes displayed on a phone screen. If your shop accepts digital loyalty cards, e-coupons, or any kind of on-screen voucher, this scanner reads them cleanly without asking the customer to hold their phone at an awkward angle.
