About

Citizen CL-S703III – Industrial Label Printer for Demanding Daily Use

The Citizen CL-S703III is built for situations where you need a lot of labels printed fast — without the printer letting you down at the worst possible moment. Thermal transfer printing produces sharp, durable results on a wide range of label materials and surfaces, whether you're labelling shelves, shipments, or products.

Print speed and resolution that keeps pace with your workday

At 300 dpi (12 dots/mm), barcodes stay crisp and legible even at small sizes — no more scanners struggling to read a label at the till or loading bay. The print speed of 200 mm/s means a large batch of labels clears quickly, without holding up the work queue. Maximum print width is 104 mm and maximum media width is 118 mm, which covers the vast majority of commercially available label rolls. Rolls up to 200 mm in diameter fit inside, so you won't be stopping to reload every hour during a busy run.

Dual interface: connects however your setup is wired

USB and Ethernet are both included as standard — there are no extra adapters to buy and no choosing one over the other at the point of purchase. Connect directly to a single workstation over USB, or drop it straight onto your existing network over Ethernet. Either way, it works out of the box, which keeps the installation short and the surprises minimal.

Broad command language support reduces integration work

The CL-S703III supports three widely used printer languages: EPLII, ZPLII and Datamax. In practice, this means it will very likely work directly with the software you already have — whether that's a warehouse management system, a point-of-sale platform, or a webshop order management tool. Separate drivers or custom integration work are rarely needed, which saves time on both the initial setup and any future software changes.

Automatic sensors keep labels landing in the right place

The built-in Black Mark Sensor and Gap Sensor detect label positioning automatically, regardless of whether you're using gap-type or black-mark label stock. Labels print in the correct position without manual calibration, which matters when you're running a long batch and can't stand over the printer to check each one.
