This Honeywell RS-232 cable connects your cash drawer to your point-of-sale system reliably, day in and day out. At 3 metres, this cable covers the great majority of counter and till setups without leaving excess slack. The coiled construction keeps the cable neatly in place: it doesn't droop across the counter, tangle with other cables, or catch on anything when the drawer opens. Compatibility and connection

The cable uses an RS-232 female connector and operates at 5 V — the standard specification for most cash drawer and POS combinations. Before ordering, confirm that your POS hardware supports RS-232 output on the drawer port. No drivers, no setup steps

There is no software to install and no drivers to configure. Connect the cable between your cash drawer and your POS system and the drawer is ready to use. The steps are straightforward:

• ·Plug the cable into the RS-232 port on your cash drawer
• ·Connect the other end to the corresponding port on your POS system
• ·The drawer is ready — open it from your till software as normal

A note on checking your setup

RS-232 drawer cables look similar, but connector type and operating voltage do vary between manufacturers. If you already have a Honeywell cash drawer or a POS terminal with a dedicated drawer port rated at 5 V, this cable is the direct match. For anything outside that, Vaivatta can confirm the right fit before you order.
