About
Epson TM-U220IIB – Dot Matrix Receipt Printer for Restaurants and Cafés
The Epson TM-U220IIB is a single-station dot matrix receipt printer designed to keep up with a full day's trading without requiring extra attention. Whether it's sitting at the counter or running kitchen dockets during a busy dinner service, it handles the workload quietly in the background.
Prints reliably when the rush is on
At 8.8 lines per second, dockets come off the printer fast enough that neither your staff nor your customers are left waiting. More importantly, dot matrix technology means the printer keeps working where thermal printers often struggle — near a hot grill, in a steamy kitchen, or anywhere grease and humidity are part of the environment. Thermal print heads can fade or fail in those conditions; the TM-U220IIB doesn't have that problem. Maximum media width is 76 mm, which covers standard receipt and kitchen docket rolls.
Auto-cutter keeps the counter moving
The built-in auto-cutter trims the receipt after every print job. Your staff don't have to tear the paper by hand — a small detail that adds up quickly on a busy Friday evening when every second at the till counts.
Ethernet connection fits most POS setups
The printer connects to your network over Ethernet, which means it sits on your fixed network without a USB cable running back to the till. It's compatible with most common POS software packages that support network printer settings. If you want to confirm compatibility with your specific setup before ordering, get in touch with Vaivatta and we'll check it for you.
What's in the box
A power supply unit is included. The power cable is ordered separately — worth double-checking before installation so there's no delay on the day you set it up.
