About
Epson TM-P80II – the receipt printer that goes where you do
The Epson TM-P80II is a compact direct-thermal printer built for owner-operators who aren't always standing behind a fixed till. Whether you're running a pop-up stall at the market, serving customers at their table, or taking payments outdoors, this printer clips to your belt and keeps up with you. The 1950 mAh battery lasts through a full working day, so you're not hunting for a socket mid-shift.
Connecting it to what you already have
The TM-P80II connects over Wi-Fi 802.11ac or USB-C, which means it works however your POS or mobile device is set up. In most cases you simply join it to the same network as your till and you're ready to go — no IT background needed. If the setup gives you any trouble, Vaivatta can help you get it running.
Printing receipts when things get busy
Direct thermal means no ink cartridges to run out of or replace. The paper roll drops in without tools, and beyond swapping the roll there's nothing to maintain. At 203 dpi, printed receipts and barcodes come out sharp and readable. The maximum media width of 80 mm covers standard receipt formats, and the Black Mark sensor reads pre-printed positioning marks on custom paper rolls — useful if you use branded or pre-formatted receipt stock.
What's in the box — and what to order alongside it
The printer ships with a belt clip and a 1950 mAh battery. The power supply unit is sold separately — if you plan to charge the printer from a wall socket between shifts, add one to your order. Country of origin is China; the printer carries a 12-month warranty.
Is this the right printer for your business?
The TM-P80II is the right choice if you move around during sales — market days, table service, outdoor events, or any situation where the customer isn't coming to a fixed counter. It's not designed as a permanent desktop unit; if you need a printer that stays on the counter all day, Vaivatta's range of fixed receipt printers will serve you better. But for a mobile sales point that just works without extra fiddling, this printer handles it.
