About

CipherLab RS36 – a handheld terminal that keeps up with a hard day's work

The CipherLab RS36 is an Android-based portable data collection terminal for small businesses that need a reliable barcode scanner on the shop floor, in the stockroom, or out in the field. It is built to take daily punishment: IP65 and IP68 ratings mean it handles dust, splashes, and brief submersion without needing a separate protective case.

Fast, accurate scanning — even on worn labels

The built-in Zebra SE4770 imager reads both 2D and 1D barcodes quickly, even from faded stickers or a screen. During a stock count or at the checkout, that means work moves forward without repeated re-scans or error beeps slowing you down.

5.5-inch touchscreen you can use with gloves on

The 720×1440 pixel capacitive touchscreen responds to touch even with gloves on. At 630 cd/m² brightness, the display stays readable in direct sunlight — useful in outdoor storage areas, loading bays, or on a terrace.

Battery that lasts the full shift

The 4,000 mAh battery covers a full working day under normal use without needing a top-up. The battery is included; a power supply unit is ordered separately based on your setup.

Connectivity that fits into how you already work

The RS36 connects to your business network over Wi-Fi and supports Bluetooth for peripherals. NFC enables pairing with payment terminals and access systems. The USB-C port handles both charging and fast data transfer.

Processing power for demanding business apps

A Qualcomm Octa Core processor running at 2.0 GHz, 4 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of flash storage mean your ERP, inventory, or warehouse management app runs without lag or waiting around.

Cameras for documentation and verification

The 16 MP rear camera handles product shots, document capture, and barcode imaging. The 5 MP front camera covers video calls or on-site documentation needs. NFC rounds out short-range identification.

Android — your staff already know how to use it

Because the RS36 runs Android, your team picks it up quickly. Existing Android apps you already rely on can be deployed without extra licences or a training project.
